on speaking not administrative work.
We are experienced and professional offering a complete
package of administrative back-up for professional
speakers. The plan includes: |

of all incoming enquiries for speakers

administrative support without the overheads
- Back-up
seven days a week for dealing with any last
minute changes or emergencies

with marketing and PR

simple, comprehensive and extremely cost effective.
No up-front costs. No registration fee. No retainer.
The only costs involved are the commission we take
out of the fees we negotiate on your behalf! NB:
to qualify for this great service you have to be
attracting at least 10 paid speaking engagements
per year. If you are not speaking at least ten
times a year this service can be offered on a monthly

pride ourselves on being one of very small number
of speakers’ agencies who offer advice and
support to people who want to be professional speakers.
We believe there is no magic to becoming a successful
professional speaker it takes hard work, commitment
and determination. We believe that to become known
and recognised you have to be on your feet in front
of people doing what you do best - speaking. What
we offer is a helping hand to those ‘aspiring’
professional speakers who find themselves in a classic
‘Catch 22’ situation – no one
wants to book you because they’ve never heard
of you, but how do you get talked about if you are
not out on stage speaking!
Based on our acquired knowledge
of the speaking industry over the past nine years,
the ‘Aspiring Speakers’ plan of action
is broken down in to four distinct stages of development
that can be undertaken at your own pace: Assessment,
Preparation and Launch, Building the Business
and Promotion.

As a Motivational Speaker it is
important to understand the bureaus and how they
operate.
As in any business very often
your success is determined by how well you are
able to form trusting and meaningful alliances
or partnerships with other organizations. The
same applies in the speaking business when working
with bureaus. The key word here is without doubt
“Trust”.
During 2003 I set out to identify
certain bureaus that I thought would benefit my
business whilst providing some real value to their
clients in exchange. As part of my research programme
I introduced myself to Carol Jones of Select Speakers.
From a speaking perspective this was one of the
most important introductions that I ever made.
Carol is a genuine down to earth
lady who knows the speaking business inside out.
Carol made it clear at the outset that there were
no guarantees but if the speaker had potential
then she would work endlessly with that speaker
to generate the success that we all strive to
achieve.
Since then our relationship has
grown stronger and stronger, and as a result of
working together, understanding one another’s

Bristol with no fee (2003), I am delighted to
announce that my latest assignment with Select
is a fully expensed high profile event on the
sunny Caribbean Island of Barbados.
